WE ARE INCREDIBLY EXCITED
to bring "The Drop" to our homes where it all started for us. Our goal is to provide new classes, styles, and a line up of choreographers to you in a welcoming and fun atmosphere.
If you have training and are looking to grow in your choreography, performance and auditioning skills "The Drop" is for you. Growing up as dancers originally from Saskatchewan. We understand how difficult it can be to gain access to commercial dance training and to gain the necessary knowledge and information when it comes to working in the dance industry. With this workshop, we hope to help young aspiring dancers bridge the gap between the studio and their professional careers. This industry isn't easy but we are here to help the next generation of Canadian dancers feel confident and ready to pursue dance in whichever path it takes them.
WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU!

WHAT ARE THE AUDITION & REHEARSAL 101 CLASS?
The Audition & Rehearsal 101 classes offered at THE DROP are designed to run like the real thing.
In the AUDITION 101 class, each dancer will sign in and be given a number. They will be taught choreography quickly to help improve retention and performance. Dancers will then perform this choreography to our panel of faculty members. Feedback will be given and this is when we will finalize all scholarship decisions.
The REHEARSAL 101 class will be focusing on what happens in rehearsal once you book the job. In this class, students will be learning a routine, formations, performance, rehearsal etiquette and more.
The great thing about these two classes is that, in each attending city, they're being taught by industry leading choreographers, who are auditioning and booking dancers for work on a regular bases. These are working educators who really know the industry inside and out.
We know, sometimes auditioning and rehearsals can be scary and nervewracking but becoming familiar with these processes is crucial to becoming a professional dancer. Developing personal skills to help you once you enter the room comes with practice but don't worry we'll be there to guide you through it.
